Strike action by local government workers including those in the Cleansing Department has commenced today, Monday 1st November 2021 until Monday 8th November 2021. No bin collections will be made during this time including street bins, no fly-tipping reported to GCC will be removed and recycling centres are closed.
As a result, the following bin collections will not be made in our estate:
Tuesday 2nd November 2021 – general waste bins and brown recycling bins for all main door properties
Wednesday 3rd November 2021 – all tenements at Southdeen Avenue, Southdeen Road and Linkwood Drive
Thursday 4th November 2021 – bulk collection for tenement blocks and the access lanes cancelled as our contractor will be unable to take this to Dawsholm Recycling Centre
Monday 8th November 2021 – all tenements at Merryton Avenue and Tallant Road
The wheelie bin clean scheduled for tomorrow for main door tenants has had to be cancelled. We will arrange to have this rescheduled as soon as possible.
